My Ideal Destination: My Ideal travel destination would be one where I can learn something new, be inspired to travel on and be compelled to teach others what I learned. Ever since I learned of Africa’s existence as a small child of about 5yrs I have harboured a fascination for the diverse continent. It would be my dream to visit every country within the continent, as it has been called the world in one continent and so I think that covering all that land would be one great place to get to know thoroughly. I am also really interested in learning some tribal languages and getting to know more about local people as I travel through. So inspired by my childhood and now the difference I encountered in the Gambia, Africa would be my first choice of ideal destination I haven’t covered yet. But I can’t just leave it there without mentioning two other top places which are really also calling me for the cultural diversity; India and the Poles. I’m inspired by the colour that comes to mind when I think of India I want to buy the clothing, cook with the spices and live with locals in the shanty towns. The poles well it’s the ends of the earth and the television footage of this place takes my breath away so what the real thing would be like I can only begin to imagine. I would love to meet people that live in the most north parts of the earth and try their way of life – I’m pretty sure surviving in these conditions would set you up for anything.
