Graduated From: The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA)
I am a 24 year old, excitable girl, who enjoys being busy all the time.
I currently work as a Deputy Group Sales Manager for The Palace Theatre and Opera House in Manchester, but need to escape the rat race. I am seeking an adventure and want to see and do as much as I can! I would describe myself as; fun, talkative, creative, intelligent, caring, clumsy, and willing to learn! Good Luck everyone. Vote for me!
My Ideal Destination: My ideal travel destination is somewhere busy, vibrant, and filled with culture! When I go somewhere I like to feel a part of that place for just a little while. Of all the places I have been so far in my life my absolute favourite was New York, I can safely say I am a little obsessed with this city and everything it has to offer. I love that it is always busy, and there is always something to do. This is what I like from a travel destination. I get bored easily and like to constantly be on the go. A city is the perfect place for me. On my list of places to visit are other cities including Tokyo, Sydney, Chicago, and Washington. I think you get an amazing array of people in cities, and this fascinates me, that any one person can become a part of a city.
In a contrast, I also find an overwhelming calm from the sea. I love to sit and watch the waves and hear them crash, feel the sun on me and know I am content. This is not something readily available to be where I live, what with the nearest water being the River Mersey! I am such a busy person and always on the go, that an ideal location would be somewhere I could take time out and re evaluate.
I do not have an ideal location for any of this, I am happy to go anywhere and do anything to find these feelings and opportunities I have described. They are a complete contrast I know, it would be amazing to have a place that was a vibrant city that also had a peaceful, beautiful beach where I can relax!
There is however another side to me. I worked for an overseas children's charity in 2007, since then I have wanted to visit some of the countries in which my work was helping. It would be something completely different for me, but during my time there my eyes were opened up to the wider world and its global issues. I do not know if I could class this as an ideal travel destination, but it is something personal to me and something I desperately want to do.
This is my video application for STA World Traveller Internship 2010. Please watch, please enjoy and most importantly please vote for me!! I feel I would be perfect for this opportunity, I hope you agree. ;-) xx
