My Ideal Destination: My ideal destination is still without doubt Ecuador. Travelling through Spain, using Spanish at every opportunity really reinforces how much I love the language. I'd love to go to Ecuador as Quito offers the best and greatest-value Spanish schools in a Latin American environment. I love climbing, so Cotopaxi would be the ideal challenge. I long to be immersed in different cultures and learning Spanish with the Chichicorumi community, an Amazonian people, would be mindblowing. I adore nature, so travelling the Amazon itself would be a pleasure (as clearly would the Galapagos), and would look to volunteer on a Cloud Forest Reserve. In fact, I already have an open-offer volunteer place with a Reserve waiting as I planned to take this trip before my current Europe opportunity presented itself... I feel I should add an 'extra' element here as I said Ecuador last time around.In Europe, my ideal destination would be Slovenia. It offers all of the outdoor activites that I long to do and a breathtaking backdrop. I can't do it this time around as I'm heading to Poland after Germany to meet friends with a tighter schedule than I. BUT, the trip to Slovenia would HAVE to involve; Seeing the Skocjan Caves (the largest subterranean canyon), rafting the Soca Valley and hiking the Valley of the Seven Lakes. It'd only take a week as everything's so accessible by train from the capital, and I'd love to stay at Celica YH in Lubljana for at least some of it as its a converted military prison with 'cells' for dorms! That, plus the vibrance of a growing capital city and the fact its still relatively cheap for Europe means I'd be a fool NOT to want to go there!
