My Ideal Destination: Would have to be Weston-Super-Mare. (I’m kidding). I like heat. It’s something Britain often lacks. I like lush green rice paddies and places where it gets so dark the milky way can be seen streaking its way through the sky. Sand dunes and evergreens are prepossessing but so are multi-coloured houses and tango dances, velvety wines and food which only tastes that good at the source. The greatest places have locals who are happy to share stories with you in spite of language barriers. Who invite you in to enjoy a taste of how they live for a little while.
